Every year 1^st December marks the World AIDS Day. This is a time when we give our support towards all those people who due to some reason have been infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. In
Pakistan, WAD focuses on the awareness about HIV and AIDS among all ages of people specially youth through a series of events.
 In
Pakistan there are few NGOs of People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) which are being run by them and a few working directly with PLWHA. Most of the NGOs working on HIV and AIDS are concentrating on prevention.
The government has started to provide treatment services through five care and treatment centres in the country. Presently, there are limited capacity building programmes for PLWHA being supported by the government.
 This year the theme is “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” along with focusing on the Accountability.
